Welcome to the Flickr group for focus stacked insects, captured in a home studio, outside of the insects natural environment. All images posted to this group are reviewed before being set live. The rules are as follows: 1. Images in this group are reviewed by administrators before being entered. This is to ensure that all images in this group are on theme, and to stop spammers from ruining the group stream with random images nobody wants to see. If you have an on theme image and would like to contribute to this group by sharing it, please do so. Focus stacking is progressing very quickly and it's only thanks to everyone sharing their images and techniques. 2. Requirements to accept images in this group - Image is of an insect - Image has been focus stacked using any stacking software, preferably more than 10 images - A ratio of more than 1:1 has been used - No obvious defects like OOF bands, soft focus bands is acceptable - No filthy insects covered in dust, unless the dust is of particular interest in the image (eg, pollen) - Image needs to be in in good focus - Image needs to be well lit - Image needs to have relatively low noise for a stacked image. 3. The insect is in a home studio. Images of insects stacked in their natural environment are suited for the sister group Insects - Field Stacks 4. There are no limits on the amount of images you can request for admittance in one day. 5. Insects is a all encompassing term, arachnids and any other arthropod is all good. 6. Images should not be abstract, like butterfly wing scales or individual body parts like an antenna. Profile style head shots is perfectly fine, as is a full body shot. Ideally we want to see the eyes, but not just the eye :) 7. There is no "seen in xxx" image and there never will be. If you like someones work, leave them a hand typed message. 8. There is no award system, you are not required to comment or post or favorite anything you do not want to. If you post an image there is no further commitment to do anything and no silly robot that will remove your image unless you follow rules. 9. Do not spam other peoples images by leaving images that are not on topic in order to attract more viewers to your stream. 10. Be nice!
