Living in the city you are always aware of your neighbours. You hear them, see them in the hallway or on the stairs. You try to avoid eye contact with the neighbour from across who is smoking his cigarette on the balcony. And you get these little questions in your mind that will never be answered...does his wife make him...poor guy... Mostly we don't want to have to do that much with them so we can keep our privacy, but....aren't you also curious? What about their lives, the rest of the appartment which you can't see. You are so close to them, yet so far. I believe because of that little glimpse you get of them, sometimes even only the shampoo bottle in their bathroom window, you get even more curious. An that's the kind of photography i would like to see. That little glimpse of a life so close to you, yet...
