Promulgating the plethora of Peugeots being pedaled around Portland by people. Once you start looking for Peugeot bicycles, you see them everywhere! There are some RULES!!! 1. Photo must be of a Peugeot bicycle, and the photo must be taken in Portland. 2. Please provide a location for the sighting. It can be an intersection, or something more vague like "SE Belmont" or "South of Mt Tabor." Just wanna know where in the city you saw it. 3. It'd be swell if you wanted to capture some intriguing period details of the bicycle you were photographing. It'd also be really nice of you to provide at least one shot of the entire bike, so that others who are similarly inclined can say, hey! I took a picture of that bike too! 4. I will review submissions, so if you don't follow the rules the photo won't get in. No big deal, just how I like to do it. 5. This isn't a rule, rather, it's advice. I assumed that when someone saw me nosing around his bike with a camera, he would think I was scoping out his bike, trying to steal it. In fact, people are just as likely to think that you believe that the bike is stolen and are checking it out / recording it for some kind of reporting purpose. In either case, just tell them you are working on the Portland Peugeot Project, an attempt to document all the great old Peugeot bicycles in use in Portland. They will think you are a big weirdo, and probably leave you alone to continue your vital work. But maybe they'll tell you about their bike, which is nice too. That's pretty much it. I have a set of Portland Peugeots on my flickr, and they are organized by number, but I really don't know how we'd keep track of things like that in a group like this, so this will be more of a fantastic and explosive celebration of all the Peugeots that perambulate among the populace.
