Celebrating the fabulous jazz-age illustrators and (graphic designers) and the illustrations and print design they created in the 1920s and 1930s. Illustration and print design of the twenties through the thirties, including: Editorial illustration, magazine and newspaper advertisement, book illustration, posters, sheet music, record cover illustration, postcards, typography and package design. NOT for recent reproductions, contemporary items in a retro art-deco or 20s-30s "style", family photos, or anything that wasn't produced by commercial printing processes of the twenties or thirties. Scans and photos should be taken by YOU of original items, NOT harvested off the internet, or scanned from recent/contemporary books that reproduce these vintage items. To best view this pool: Due to all the exciting changes at flickr regarding being able to set content types (you can choose to see or not see illustrations) and safety (default is safe) settings, I make the following recommendations for viewing this group: Go to You > Your Account Under "Personal Information" select "Privacy and Permissions" Go down to Content filters - Search settings Click on Edit to set: SafeSearch: Moderate (or SafeSearch Off) and select Content type: Include art, illustration, CGI See also: Wartime Forties in Print (1940s) Mid-Century in Print (1945-1965)
