I headed downtown today because I thought that with the Nuclear Summit in full swing, I might be able to catch some extra helicopter traffic. Unfortunately that was not the case. The extra presence on the water was highly evident as promised with US Coast Guard and DC Police boats speeding back and forth along the waterways. However, I didn't see a single USCG helo or any military helos either. I did get a much better picture of N412PP and a really nice shot of N911DC. I caught Omaha 4 departing Signature at DCA, but too far for an ID. Just for fun I took a couple of shots of aircraft arriving and departing DCA as the sun was still on this side early in the day. I like the American MD-82 passing in front of the Air Force Memorial. Also caught a SAM 757 leaving, not sure if it was AF2 or not today. There was another small twin turbo-prop circling overhead, most likely for the Nuclear Summit. To top it off I added a couple of bikers (good for panning practice) and some boats. Hope you enjoy!
