Lenham Motor Company
The original company was founded by Julian Booty and David Miall-Smith in the early 1960's. David left the company in 1970 and Julien was joined by Peter Rix who looked after the sales side of the business.
An alloy bodied Mk.1 Sprite was built and became the genesis for the Lenham GT Coupe. The GT Coupe was designed to be fitted to Mk.1 and Mk.2 Austin Healey Sprites and MG Midgets to be followed by a number of other bodies. Lenham also produced removable hard tops and one piece bonnets. Apart from the Mdget/Sprite theme Lenham also produced the Lenham Healey based on the big Healey chassis and resembling the Healey Silverstone, the P69 amd P70 Group 6 Sports Cars and F3 and Formula Ford racing cars.
