The churches in this set date from America's colonial period. The set starts with a reproduction of a very early Jamestown church, then goes to the somewhat later Jamestown brick church (the tower is original). Next are photos of Williamsburg's Bruton Parish Church, which still is in use after nearly 300 years. Westover Church in Charles City County (to the west of Williamsburg several miles) is next, followed by St. Peter's Church in New Kent County (NW of Williamsburg), reputed to be where George and Martha Washington were married. Next are photos of the exterior and interior of Christ Church in Lancaster County, on the north side of the Rappahannock River, followed by Christ Church in Middlesex County, across the river from Lancaster County. Next up is Petersburg's Blandford Church, and the last, to date, is Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church in Rockbridge County, near Lexington.
